Every booking comes with a 24-hour cooling-off window — cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund, no questions asked, regardless of the tier below. If the workshop starts within 24 hours, the window closes at the workshop's start time.

01 ·Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all paid bookings made through WorkshopZone (workshopzone.in), operated by Tuvis Ventures Private Limited. By booking a workshop on the Platform, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

WorkshopZone operates a three-tier cancellation window system that balances attendee flexibility with fair compensation for hosts who invest time and resources in preparing their sessions, on top of a 24-hour money-back guarantee available on every booking regardless of tier.

Refund percentages apply to the workshop base price (what the host charges). The WorkshopZone platform fee (7%) and applicable GST (18% on the fee) are non-refundable and are retained by the platform on every cancellation. Host payout percentages apply to the net payout (gross minus platform commission). Every refund is reviewed by our team before being processed — the admin may adjust the amount for case-by-case exceptions (medical emergencies, host goodwill refunds, etc.). This policy applies equally to online, offline, and hybrid workshops.

03 ·Tier 1 — Early Cancellation (7+ Days Before Session)

If you cancel your booking 7 or more days before the scheduled session start time:

  • You will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid.
  • The refund will be credited to your original payment method within 5-7 business days via Razorpay.
  • No cancellation fee is charged.
  • The host receives no payout for this booking, as sufficient notice was given to rebook the slot.
◆ EXAMPLE A workshop is scheduled for 10 April. An attendee who cancels on or before 3 April receives a full refund.

04 ·Tier 2 — Mid Cancellation (48 Hours to 7 Days Before)

If you cancel your booking between 48 hours and 7 days before the scheduled session start time:

  • You will receive a 50% refund of the amount paid.
  • The remaining 50% is retained by WorkshopZone and paid to the host as partial compensation for preparation costs.
  • The host's 50% payout is held and released after the original session date passes.
  • If the vacated slot is rebooked by another attendee before the session, the host earns from that new booking in addition.
  • Refunds will be credited to your original payment method within 5-7 business days.
◆ EXAMPLE A workshop is on 10 April. An attendee cancels on 5 April (5 days before). They receive 50% back. The host receives 50% of their net payout on or after 10 April.

05 ·Tier 3 — Late Cancellation or No-Show (0-48 Hours)

If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of the scheduled session start time, or do not attend without cancelling:

  • No refund will be issued.
  • The host receives 100% of their net payout, released after the original session date passes.
  • This applies to both cancellations initiated through the Platform and no-shows.

Exceptional circumstances (documented medical emergency or bereavement) may be considered for a discretionary refund. Email info@workshopzone.in with documentation within 48 hours of the session.

06 ·Host-Initiated Cancellations

6.1 Host Cancels Before Session

  • All confirmed attendees receive a 100% refund automatically.
  • Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.
  • Attendees are notified via WhatsApp and email.
  • The host receives no payout for that session.
  • Repeated cancellations may result in suspension or removal of host privileges.

6.2 Host Fails to Start Session

  • If a host does not start a scheduled online session within 15 minutes, the session is marked as not conducted.
  • All attendees receive a 100% refund.
  • The host receives no payout.

07 ·Rescheduled Sessions

  • All attendees are notified of the new date and time via WhatsApp within 2 hours.
  • Attendees who cannot attend the rescheduled date may request a full refund within 48 hours of receiving the notification. This is treated as a Tier 1 cancellation.
  • Attendees who do not respond within 48 hours are considered to have accepted the new schedule.

08 ·Platform-Initiated Refunds

WorkshopZone will issue full 100% refunds without requiring attendee action in these situations:

  • Technical failure on our Platform that prevented the session from being conducted.
  • Fraudulent or materially inaccurate workshop listing identified by our team.
  • Duplicate payment due to a payment gateway error.

09 ·Partial Refunds for Disrupted Sessions

A partial refund of 50% may be issued at WorkshopZone's discretion where a session was significantly disrupted:

  • The host ended the session more than 30 minutes before the advertised duration without offering a reschedule.
  • Audio or video failure lasting more than 20 continuous minutes occurred without resolution.

To request, email info@workshopzone.inwithin 48 hours of the session with subject "Disrupted Session - [Booking ID]".

UPI refunds (typically faster)

Refunds are always credited to the original payment method (UPI, credit/debit card, net banking, or digital wallet). WorkshopZone does not issue refunds in cash, via bank transfer to a different account, or as platform credits. All transactions are in Indian Rupees (INR).

11 ·Subscription & Add-On Fees (Hosts)

Monthly subscription fees for Pro, Studio, and Enterprise tiers are non-refundable. If a host downgrades mid-cycle, the change takes effect at the next billing cycle with no prorated refund. Any add-ons purchased on the Studio tier are non-refundable once purchased, regardless of utilisation.

12 ·How to Request a Refund

Include: full name, booking ID, workshop name, session date, and reason. Attach supporting documentation if applicable.

Our team will acknowledge within 1 business day and respond with a decision within 5 business days.

13 ·Disputes

If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, you may escalate by emailing info@workshopzone.in. Unresolved disputes are subject to the Dispute Resolution provisions in our Terms of Service — governed by Indian law, seated in Vadodara, Gujarat.

14 ·Changes to This Policy

WorkshopZone reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via WhatsApp and posted on the Platform at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
